BAFT‐IFSA is the association for organizations actively engaged in international transaction banking. It serves as the leading forum for bringing the financial community and its suppliers together to collaborate on shaping market practice, influencing regulation and legislation through global advocacy, developing and adapting new and existing instruments that facilitate the settlement of products and service offerings for clients, providing education and training, and contributing to the safety and soundness of the global financial system.
About BAFT
The Bankers' Association for Finance and Trade was a financial trade association whose membership represented a broad range of internationally active financial institutions and companies that provided important services throughout the global financial community. For over 85 years, BAFT advanced the growth and evolution of international financial services. As a worldwide forum for analysis, discussion and advocacy in the international financial services community, BAFT played a unique role in expanding markets, shaping regulatory and legislative policy, developing business solutions and preserving the safety and soundness of the global financial system.
About the IFSA
The International Financial Services Association, founded in 1923, was a world leader in representing the international operations areas of financial services providers, their customers, suppliers, and partners. The IFSA’s focused on documentary credits, funds transfer, treasury operations, regulatory and compliance. Virtually no piece of international regulation or law governing trade finance or treasury operations in the past 86 years was put into effect without the influence of the IFSA. |
